SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for transmitting mechanical waves. Unit for propagation of broadband pulsed mechanical waves comprises a mechanical waveguide and an X-ray contrast mark. Mechanical waveguide comprises a first elongated structure disposed along a first longitudinal axis between a proximal end and a distal end. Proximal end of the mechanical waveguide is configured to interact functionally with a pulse generator which generates broadband mechanical waves. Mechanical waveguide is provided with two protrusions protruding from its outer surface located near the distal end. Two lugs are spaced from each other by a given distance along the first longitudinal axis. Radiopaque label comprises a second elongated structure made from X-ray contrast material and arranged along a second longitudinal axis. Second elongated structure is hollow so that it can be arranged around first elongated structure between two projections and is deformable, so that its inner size can be reduced to hold the second elongated structure between two projections. Inner size of radiopaque mark after its deformation and installation between two projections is more than external dimension of section of first elongated structure located between two projections, to reduce leakage of broadband pulse mechanical waves.

EFFECT: enabling visualization of the distal end of the mechanical waveguide while minimizing leaks of mechanical energy into the environment.
