FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical oscillation generating means used in medical equipment. Method of generating a mechanical wave involves generating a broadband mechanical pulse of high amplitude; in introduction of broadband mechanical pulse of large amplitude into proximal end of nondispersive cylindrical transmitting element; propagation of a pulse of large amplitude in a nondispersive cylindrical transmitting element from its proximal end to its distal end and transmitting a non-dispersed cylindrical transmitting element to the environment at a distal end. Nondispersive cylindrical transmitting element is made with possibility of its introduction into blood vessel, and amplitude of mechanical pulse of large amplitude when reaching distal end of non-dispersed cylindrical transmitting element ranges from approximately 10 MPa to approximately 1000 MPa.
EFFECT: technical result is higher effectiveness of treating occlusions.
