FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and is intended for accumulating kinetic energy. The tape super flywheel comprises a hub with a tape rim (2) made of high-strength adhesive tape, and the hub is made of a material with a density and an elasticity modulus lower than that of steel, and a centering apparatus for parts of the tape super flywheel. The hub is made composite from at least two outer parts (1) and one inner part (3) with annular protrusions (5) corresponding with the number of outer parts (1) of the hub. A tape rim (2) is wound on each of the outer parts (1) of the hub. The inner part (3) is made in one uniform piece. Transmission of torques is executed through two flanges (8) rigidly fixed at the ends from the inner part (3), with shafts (9) attached thereto. Said centering apparatus is made in form of at least three finger pins (6) radially converging to the centre, rigidly connected by the outer ends thereof with the outer part (1), and the inner ends of the finger pins (6) are configured to slide in the inner part (3) of the hub.
EFFECT: increasing the energy capacity of the tape flywheel and increasing the rigidity of the inner part of the hub.
