FIELD: treatment of gas.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for hydroskimming vacuum gas oil. A gas-feed mixture consisting of vacuum gas oil containing more than 2.0% wt. sulphur and less than 0.1% wt. nitrogen, and a hydrogen-containing gas, is consequently passed through a layer-by-layer loaded catalytic system consisting of alumina-cobalt- and alumina-nickel-molybdenum catalysts. As a first layer downstream with the gas-feed mixture, 60 to 75% vol. alumina-cobalt-molybdenum deep hydrodesulphurisation catalyst is loaded, containing, % wt.: cobalt oxide 6.0 to 8.0, molybdenum oxide 18.0 to 24.0, silicon oxide 6.0 to 16.0 and aluminium oxide the rest. The second layer is 25 to 40% vol. alumina-nickel-molybdenum denitrogenation catalyst containing, % wt.: nickel oxide 5.0 to 9.0, molybdenum oxide 18.0 to 24.0, phosphorus oxide 1.0 to 3.0, silicon oxide 1.8 to 5.5 and aluminium oxide the rest. The process is executed at a temperature of 360 to 450°C, a pressure of 5.0 to 20.0 MPa, a volumetric flow rate of the gas-feed mixture 0.5 to 2.0 h-1, a volumetric ratio of hydrogen:feed 400 to 1200:1 nm3/m3. The invention also relates to a variant of the method for hydroskimming vacuum gas oil.

EFFECT: production of hydrotreated vacuum gas oil with residual sulphur content not greater than 250 ppm and nitrogen content not greater than 250 ppm, allowing to produce, in the process of catalytic cracking, a component of high-octane gasoline with sulphur content less than 10 ppm, requiring no additional hydrotreating.
