FIELD: porous membranes production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of porous membranes based on titanium suboxides. A method for the production of porous products formed essentially from titanium suboxide (s) of the general formula TiOx, in which the x value ranges from 1.6 to 1.9. This method includes the following steps: a) mixing the starting materials, including at least a source of titanium dioxide, a reducing agent containing carbon in an amount up to 5 wt.% by weight of titanium dioxide, b) shaping the product, c) optionally, namely when organic products, heat treatment in an air or oxidizing atmosphere, d) firing, for example, at a temperature of more than 1200°C, but not more than 1430°C, in a neutral or reducing atmosphere. The titanium dioxide source consists of at least 55%, preferably 90% or more of anatase. The product that can be obtained in this way has a substantially unimodal distribution of pore diameters with a median size of 0.5-5 microns. Open porosity exceeds 34%.
EFFECT: obtaining products with increased porosity.
