FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hydrogenation catalyst that hydrogenates an aromatic hydrocarbon compound to an alicyclic hydrocarbon compound, and in which the metal of group 10 is deposited on a composite support comprising at least alumina and titanium dioxide, where the content of the metal of group 10 is 5-35 % of the mass. relative to the total mass of the composite carrier and the compound of the metal of group 10 in terms of its oxide, and where the composite carrier includes at least a substrate of alumina coated with titanium dioxide, and the repeating distance in the plane of the crystal lattice of titanium dioxide on the surface of the substrate is 50 Å or less. Hydrotreatment method using the said hydrogenation catalyst for the hydrogenation of an aromatic hydrocarbon to an alicyclic hydrocarbon compound is also disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a catalyst for the hydrogenation of an aromatic hydrocarbon compound into an alicyclic hydrocarbon compound, which demonstrates excellent stability and inhibition of side reactions.
