SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing ethylene oligomers of the composition C6 on chromium-containing catalytic systems at a molar ratio of complex: ligand: activator = 1:1:20 and using triethylaluminium as an activator, at elevated pressure and temperature. The method is characterized by the fact that the formation of an in situ catalytic system is carried out using a complex [Cr (acac)3], a ligand of the pincer type composition (RSCH2CH2) 2O, where R = methyl (Me) or n-propyl (n-Pr), while the oligomerization process is carried out at a pressure of 3 MPa and a temperature of 60-80°C.

EFFECT: production of olefins of the C6 composition with a hexene-1 content in a mixture of hexenes up to 94% using a chromium (III) complex in the catalytic system, the synthesis of which is carried out using more accessible and safe substances.
