FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, in particular to the production of sintered duplex stainless steel from stainless steel powder. It can be used for piping in chemical process plants, in the petrochemical industry, power generation plants and automobiles, in the food industry, in pharmaceutical equipment parts, in the pulp and paper industry, in desalination plants and in the mining industry. Stainless steel powder contains, wt.%: up to 0.1 С, 0.5-3 Si, up to 0.5 Mn, 20-27 Cr, 3-8 Ni, 1-6 Mo, up to 3 W, up to 0.1 N, up to 4 Cu, up to 0 , 04 P, up to 0.04 S, unavoidable impurities up to 0.8, optionally one or more of up to 0.004 V, up to 1 Nb, up to 0.5 Hf, up to 1 Ti, up to 1 Co, the rest is Fe. Duplex sintered stainless steel part is obtained by compacting stainless steel powder and then sintering in an inert or reducing atmosphere, or in vacuum at a temperature of 1150°C to 1450°C, preferably at a temperature of 1275°C to 1400°C, for a period time from 5 minutes to 120 minutes.
EFFECT: invention provides increased tensile strength and corrosion resistance.
