FIELD: inorganic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of special materials intended for use as a marking of valuable objects, namely to an inorganic luminescent compound based on rare earth metal ions, comprising, in addition to the main cation of the matrix Y3+, ions of at least one of the chemical elements La3+, Gd3+ in the cation sublattice, and also containing ions selected from Yb3+, Tm3+, Nd3+, Ho3+ as activator additives and sensitiser additives, ions of elements of the IV and V groups of the periodic table of elements as free charge carrier donor additives, and ions of elements of the II group of the periodic table of elements as free charge carrier acceptor additives, with a chemical composition corresponding to the following empirical formula: (Υ1-X-Y-Z-V-W LnX YbY MeIIIZ MeIIV MeIVW)Al3(BO3)4, or (Υ1-X-Y-Z-V-W LnX YbY MeIIIZ MeIIV MeIVW)3Al5O12, or (Υ1-X-Y-Z-V-W LnX YbY MeIIIZ MeIIV MeIVW)VO4, wherein Ln is an element selected from the group consisting of Gd, La, CE; MeIII is an element selected from the group consisting of Nd, Tm, Ho; MeII is an element selected from the group consisting of Mg, CA, Sr, Ba; MeIV is an element selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, Ta, Nb; 0.00001≤X≤0.9; 0.001≤Y≤0.9; 0.001≤Ζ≤0.5; 0.0005≤V≤0.5; 0.0005≤W≤0.5; X+Y+Z+V+W≤1.
EFFECT: new inorganic luminescent compound based on rare-earth metal ions is developed, exhibiting low-efficiency anti-Stokes luminescence in the visible range, specific excitation and emission spectra in the IR range, and a reversible property of photostimulated modulation of the luminescence intensity under the combined impact of an exciting IR emission and stimulating emission in the range of (200 to 700) nm.
