SUBSTANCE: phosphor based on yttrium oxysulfide, activated by Er3+ ions, sensitized by Yb3+ ions, has a composition corresponding to the following empirical formula: , where Ln is one of La3+, Gd3+ ions; Me1 is one of the ions of the Periodic System group II elements - Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+; Me2 is one of the ions of groups IV (Ti4+, Zr4+, Si4+), or V (Nb5+, Ta5+) elements of the Periodic System; 0<x<0.6; 0.005≤y<0.1; 0.015≤z<0.15; 0.01≤d<0.1; 0.005≤c<0.05.

EFFECT: invention allows to increase the depth of photostimulated quenching of Stokes infrared luminescence without significant changes to the initial radiation source spectral composition, under the combined action of exciting IR radiation in the range of 0,79-0,82 micrometers or 0,94-0,98 micrometers, and stimulating radiation in the range of 0,30-0,75 micrometers.
