FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device contains two linear abrasive plates located at an angle to each other, each of which is mounted on a separate holder, the base body forming a narrow opening in the center of the intersection of the sharpening strips for the advancement of the knife blade. Each of the holders with linear abrasive plates fixed on them is connected to the fixed body-base by two parallel equal-shoulder rods using the mechanism of a hinged parallelogram. Both hinge mechanisms are symmetrically located relative to the central line of the slot. The crosslines of the abrasive plates in any position of the holders relative to each other have a fixed angle. The rods of the articulated mechanisms have a symmetrical spring-loaded mutual orientation.
EFFECT: quality of sharpening is improved, the tooling process is accelerated, productivity is increased, and the cost of component costs is reduced, the dimensions of the sharpening device are decreased to the size that creates comfortable conditions for work and its storage.
