SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sharpening devices for sharpening or honing the cutting edge of a knife or similar tool. The sharpener contains a frame made in the form of at least one plate with a slotted hole, sharpening elements installed opposite the slotted hole in the frame plate with the possibility of alternately crossing each other to form a knife sharpening angle. Sharpening elements in the upper part are made with cylindrical holes and are located on cylindrical bushings, which are fixed on at least one frame plate in its upper part. The sharpening elements are mounted based on symmetrically arranged leaf springs fixed on at least one frame plate.

EFFECT: formation of a uniform bevel on the knife blade is ensured.
