SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a capsule containing a substance for making a beverage by extracting and/or dissolving the substance by supplying liquid under pressure to the capsule, a system for making a beverage of the capsule and to the use of the capsule in a device for making a beverage. The capsule contains a substance for making a beverage, wherein the capsule has an aluminum capsule case having a sidewall and an outward-protruding edge, as well as a sealing element on the outward-protruding edge to ensure liquid-impermeable contact with an external element of the device for making a beverage. The device for making a beverage contains an annular element having a free contact end, which can be provided with a set of radially passing open grooves. The sealing element is made as a whole with the outward-protruding edge, and it contains a protrusion. An annular groove between an inner leg of the protrusion and the sidewall has a bottom located along an axis at a distance from an outer leg of the protrusion in the direction of a lower part of the capsule case.

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of the sealing element that provides satisfactory seal both at relatively low liquid pressure, when the free end of the external element acts on the sealing element (sometimes also called the initial seal) with relatively small force, and at much higher liquid pressure, when the free end of the external element acts on the sealing element of the capsule with large force (for example, during cooking), even if the external element, on which there is the free contact end, is equipped with radially passing open grooves.
