FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used in a device for detecting leaks of the working medium of loaded pipelines located in the ground. The peculiarity of this method for localization of unauthorized loss of the working medium in the pipeline based on the amplitude-time analysis and correlation of vibroacoustic signals is that a third sensing element is additionally placed. The three sensing elements are arranged in the form of an equilateral triangle. The distance from the sensing elements to the leak site is calculated using the cross-correlation function and the speed of sound in the ground. At the same time, this method will allow determining the occurrence of a leak with high reliability and selectivity during a single scanning operation.
EFFECT: high reliability and selectivity of localization of unauthorized loss of the working medium in the pipeline based on the amplitude-time analysis and correlation of vibroacoustic signals.
