FIELD: traffic statistics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems for counting and determining the distribution of passengers in a vehicle. In the sensory analysis of sensors (ZS1,…ZSi,…ZSn) of counting in vehicles (FZ1,…FZi,…FZn) for passenger transportation, in particular in rail and road communication, it is proposed to correlate sensor readings (ZS1,…ZSi,…ZSn) of counting on vehicles (FZ1,…FZi,…FZn) for passenger transportation related to a particular running line, in particular in rail and road communication, data (ZISF, FS) of the route section and the vehicle, current data (FIZ, O) of the trip, current data (FZI) of the vehicle, as well as contextual data (KI) interconnected with the named data in such a way that, when analyzing at least one counting sensor (ZSi, ZSi+1, ZSi+2,...) based on them and the sensor reading issued in each case, the effects or deviations on the analyzed counting sensor that occur with valid information (I-FGZIZS, FZ) about the number of passengers are found and displayed, information about the number of passengers that occurs in which case is evaluated based on this valid information (I-FGZIZS, FZ) about the number of passengers, either in a place in a vehicle without a counting sensor, and/or based on this valid information (I-FGZIZS, FZ) about the number of passengers, a conclusion was made about the distribution of passengers in the vehicle.

EFFECT: calculation and determination of the distribution of passengers are implemented in a simple and economical way, negative effects on individual sensors used for counting passengers can be recognized.
