FIELD: engineering of devices for counting and analyzing passenger flow.
SUBSTANCE: system for counting and analyzing flow of passengers and visitors consists of processing center, located at dispatching station, including computer with special software and recorder counter, mounted in the cabin of vehicle driver and connected by means of cable system to infrared sensors, mounted above each door of passenger salon. Infrared sensors count number of entering/exiting passengers and transfer this information to recorder counter through a cable. Recorder counter includes real time clock and two energy-independent archives: archive for recording number of passengers for each door separately and archive for recording all contingencies.
EFFECT: increased precision when counting number of passengers, ensured control over unsanctioned actions of personnel and efficient usage of computer for producing objective and intuitive result of passenger flow analysis.
