SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices and devices for generation of steam for the purpose of heating and/or cooking of food products for steam, in particular to electric steamer containing container and cover (103), into which there is steamer (104). Steamer (104) comprises reservoir (106) with water and steam generator (105) having a steam generator chamber (120) connected to at least one steam distribution outlet (115). Reservoir (106) with water is communicated with steam generator chamber (120) through steam inlet (121). Steam generating chamber (120) communicates with at least one steam outlet opening (122) located higher than steam inlet opening (121) and is limited by steam releasing opening (s) (122) from above. Steam outlet (122) or each steam outlet (122) is communicated via channel (125) with steam distribution outlet (115) or one of steam distribution outlets (115).
EFFECT: providing simplified operation of reservoir filling with water, good steam generation characteristics, due to more efficient use of volume of reservoir with water and prevention of excessive heating of external side walls of steam generator, simplified design, easier assembly of electrical components, uniform pressure inside container and control of steam output from container.
