SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to pediatric surgery and traumatology, and can be used for the conservative treatment of closed, uncomplicated fractures of the clavicle in children from 2 to 17 years old. To fix bone fragments, a cotton-gauze bandage is used, which is made immediately before treatment. To do this, in a sitting position, the child's hands are placed on the belt in such a way that his shoulders are as far apart as possible, and a space is formed between the arms and the trunk. The length of the upper arms from the sick and healthy sides and the length from the right to the left acromial process of the scapula along the posterior surface is measured. The obtained values are summed up. The gauze in two layers is rolled out to the obtained length and a layer of cotton wool is spread along the entire length, which is twisted into gauze, the finished cotton-gauze bandage is placed in the figure-of-eight manner on the area of the upper arms so that both ends of the bandage are in the inter-scapular area. The ends of the bandage are tightened to dilute the upper arms by the amount of displacement of the fragments, determined by the results of radiography of the clavicle. The ends of the bandage are fixed by stitching together with each other and with the middle of the bandage.

EFFECT: invention provides reliable fixation of fragments by taking into account the anthropometric data of the child.
