FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and can be used to form a dose field in brachytherapy of intraocular formations. A collimating device for forming a dose field in brachytherapy of intraocular formations consists of a working part and 3-6 fixing elements. In this case, the working part is made in the form of a spherical segment made of an inert biocompatible heavy metal with a thickness of 0.5 to 3 mm. The fixing elements are installed at the same angular distance from each other along the perimeter of the working part. At a distance of 1 mm from the edge of the working part, a round or oval window is made, the diameter or minor axis of which is from 1/3 to 1/2 of the diameter of the working part. In this case, in the case of an oval-shaped hole, the minor axis is located radially.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to form the distribution of the absorbed dose of the required size, reduces the scarring area, reduces the radiation exposure to the surrounding tissues, and reduces the risk of post-radiation complications.
