SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to device (1) for preparing food products placed in vessel (2), in particular ready meals, containing steam generator unit located in case (3) for generating steam, connected to steam generator unit with the possibility of conducting steam by steam supply line, steam supply unit (4) with steam nozzle (6) having at least one hole for issuing steam, and also having drive mechanism (17) with electric engine (18), linear drive device for linear movement relatively to case (3) of sled (10), bearing, in particular, steam supply unit (4) or vessel holder (7), wherein safety clutch (28) is integrated into drive mechanism (17) between electric engine (18) and belt drive (13), preferably made in the form of drive with toothed belt, for moving sled (10), safety clutch is preferably made as clutch with ratchet teeth.
EFFECT: obtaining the linear drive device for food preparation.
