FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tensioning devices and it is designed for tensioning belt of belt drive systems. Proposed tensioner contains guide, slides installed for movement relative to guide, with two degrees of freedom, pulley installed on slides for rotation and designed for engagement with belt of power drive, spring providing longitudinal shifting of slides relative to guide, and damping mechanism which changes displacement of spring basing on displacement of slides relative to guide. Proposed tensioner is improved by provision of damping mechanism with shoe arranged to ensure asymmetrical damping being connected with slides and guide. Moreover, shoe has first friction supports surface in contact with second friction support surface of guide.
EFFECT: improved operating characteristics of device, provision of compactness, simple design and improved reliability in operation.
