METHOD FOR MODELING A FRACTURE OF THE PROXIMAL FEMUR Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2754649 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used to simulate a fracture of the proximal femur under experimental conditions. On an experimental bio-mannequin in the area of the proximal femur, a circular cut of the cortical layer of the bone is performed along the entire length of the line of the alleged fracture. Then the experimental bio-mannequin is placed in a universal testing machine so that the femoral neck or the trochanter region is under the movable grip of the universal testing machine. Next, a single-stage axial load is applied on the universal testing machine switched to compression mode.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to recreate a fracture at the required level of the proximal femur, the closest to the real picture of a traumatic low-energy fracture, with the possibility of using this experimental bio-mannequin for the development and testing of new methods of osteosynthesis due to the combination of techniques of the claimed invention.
