The bacterial strain Paenibacillus taichungensis I5, which has the ability to use xanthan gum (xanthan) as the only carbon source and degrade xanthan, is deposited in the All-Russian Collection of Microorganisms under the registration number VKM B-3510D. The strain of bacteria Paenibacillus taichungensis VKM B-3510D can be used in the production of xanthan-degrading enzyme preparations.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to expand the range of xanthan-producing strains.
