FIELD: cutting tools.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a circular saw for metal cutting used for cutting metal materials such as steel pipes, as well as for different types of processing by cutting. In the circular saw for metal cutting, a cutting edge of a plate has a concave arc-shaped form, on the central part of the front surface of the plate located below the specified cutting edge, a sunken chip breaker is formed, on both lateral sides of which, the first sidewalls are made. Below the sunken chip breaker, a hole is made that continues the sunken chip breaker and has a concave arc-shaped profile. On both sides of the hole, the second sidewalls are formed that continues the first sidewalls downwards. The thickness of the second sidewalls is greater than the thickness of the first sidewalls so that, on lower edges of both first sidewalls, there are angular parts located in front of each other and giving the lower part of the sunken chip breaker a tapering shape. A method for manufacturing the specified circular saw is also proposed.
EFFECT: increased strength is provided.
