FIELD: machining; turning process.

SUBSTANCE: proposed cutting tip has upper side, base and edge in zone between upper side and front surface, thick front part with chip breaker located behind edge and rear part which is thinner as compared with front part. Rear part is beveled backward and is limited with two side surfaces at acute angle relative to each other; upper surface of rear part has recess for engagement with clamp and locking the cutting tip in seat.

EFFECT: extended functional capabilities; facilitated procedure of manufacture.
