FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to X-ray tubes with a rotating anode on a hydrodynamic support and can be used for X-ray apparatuses of a wide profile with high radiation power. The X-ray radiation source is comprised of a sealed vacuum chamber with an outlet window for the emergence of the X-ray beam, a cathode unit, a rotating hollow anode unit with a disk-shaped rotor on the peripheral part whereof a target is placed. A stationary liquid heat exchanger is placed inside the anode unit, a liquid metal lubricant from gallium or alloys thereof and a sealing apparatus are placed in the cavity between the inner surface of the rotor of the anode and the outer surface of the stationary heat exchanger. The sealing apparatus consists of two coaxial rings, wherein the inner ring is located on the outer surface of the heat exchanger and the outer one is located on the inner surface of the rotor of the anode, wherein the rings of the sealing apparatus are made either of materials inert to gallium or alloys thereof and not wetted by liquid metal. An annular capillary channel is located between the rings of the sealing apparatus.
EFFECT: increased continuous operation time and power of the X-ray radiation source, increased operating resource, stability of operation and protection of the internal surfaces of the X-ray radiation source from chemical interaction with active liquid metals, increased reliability and simplified design.
