FIELD: radiation resistance testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing objects for radiation resistance in radiation fields of research reactors. The device is a multilayer structure of a set of sheets of hydrogen-containing material - a fast neutron moderator alternating with sheets of a material that absorbs slow neutrons with the formation of gamma quanta, the total thickness (d) of which is determined by the dependence CD(d), where CD is the dose amplification factor gamma radiation in the test volume of the reactor. Wherein, the multilayer structure of the device is made in the form of a hollow spherical segment of removable sheet blocks placed on a frame of radial arcs and vertical rings.
EFFECT: increase in the contribution of the dose of gamma quanta and the neutron fluence from the converter in the test volume of the reactor, which makes it possible to expand the list of tested objects and reduce the time for testing.
