SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication systems. The result is achieved by the fact that the data structure of the unified subscription ID is built upon the user’s equipment in the communication system. The specified data structure of the unified subscription ID contains a set of fields that specify information for the selected one of two or more types of subscription ID and selected parameters associated with the specified selected type of subscription ID, and the specified information in the specified data structure of the unified subscription ID is used by the specified user’s equipment to access one or more networks associated with the specified communication system, based on an authentication scenario, corresponding to the specified selected type of subscription ID. For example, during the implementation of various authentication scenarios, the specified user equipment uses the specified unified subscription ID data structure to provide the specified corresponding subscription ID (for example, SUPI, SUCI or IMSI) and related parameters for the specified given authentication scenario.
EFFECT: ensuring the management of subscription IDs in communication systems.
