FIELD: communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for key regeneration in a terminal device for encrypted communication between a terminal device and a service application. It is determined that the first key for providing direct encrypted communication with the service application, previously generated after the successful completion of the first authentication of the terminal device in the communication network, has become invalid. The second authentication request is transmitted to the communication network in response to the detection that the first key has become invalid. A second key is generated to provide direct encrypted communication with the service application after the second authentication in the communication network is successful. The first key is replaced with the second key, and the service application is directly communicated based on the second key, wherein the first key and the second key contain, respectively, the first anchor key and the second anchor key generated during the first authentication and registration and the second authentication and registration of the terminal devices in the communication network, respectively.
EFFECT: increased security of the communication network.
