FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for the production of ozone using a barrier electric discharge. The ozone generator contains a sealed container filled with a dielectric coolant and connected to the heat exchanger of the refrigeration unit by means of a bypass channel with a circulation pump, a high-voltage power supply unit, a spark gap connected to the specified unit and placed in the specified container, and a gas supply-intake device. The high-voltage power supply unit is placed in a dielectric coolant inside the container. The control unit is attached to the outside of the container in a sealed case. The spark gap is formed by pairs of coaxial tubular electrodes with a coaxial tube of a dielectric barrier between them, washed by a cooling liquid from the outside of the outer electrodes. The gas supply and intake device contains upper and lower removable monolithic collectors with passages for the coolant. The tubular electrodes of the spark gap are divided into two equal groups with the possibility of gas passing through one of them from the upper removable monolithic collector to the lower removable collector and its return from the lower to the upper monolithic removable collector through the other group.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the dimensions of a generator having an easy-to-manufacture, assemble and maintain spark gap, simplify the design while maintaining the generator’s performance.
