FIELD: nuclear reactors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fuel assemblies for nuclear reactors (NR) and can be used in NR, mainly with liquid metal, in particular with heavy liquid metal coolants (HLMC). The assembly of a square or hexagonal shape contains rod fuel rods, on the outer surface of the cladding made of corrosion-resistant ferrite-martensitic steel in HLMC, spiral ribs are evenly placed along the perimeter. The assembly also contains the lower and upper grids, splitting the wire passing through the holes in the ends of the fuel elements and the grooves of the fuel assembly lattice, the axes of which are oriented parallel to one of the faces of the fuel assembly, in which these fuel elements are rigidly fixed in one of the fuel assembly lattices in such a way that for each fuel element in FA, the angle between the axis of the hole in the fuel rod end, through which the cotter wire passes, and the middle of the base of one of the ribs on the end of the fuel element cladding, in which the end with the hole is fixed, corresponds to the angle at which the fuel rods are in contact "edge-by-edge" at a height , at which, during operation of the reactor, the maximum temperature of the fuel element cladding is reached
EFFECT: increasing the operational reliability of fuel assemblies.
