FIELD: space nuclear power.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a working fluid steam generator for a thermionic converter reactor of a space nuclear power plant. The generator contains a sealed ring container, which contains three zones filled with a capillary structure of different porosity. An electric heater is located in the central evaporation zone. The peripheral annular condensation zone is equipped with protective shields installed with a sintered metal fiber gasket on the outer side and end surfaces of the container. The transport zone connects the condensation and evaporation zones. The steam generator is equipped with a refrigerator-radiator, which contains at least three heat pipes made with evaporative and condensation surfaces. The heat pipes are installed evenly along the circumference of the inner side surface of the container, which limits the condensation zone of the steam generator, and their evaporative surfaces are inseparably connected to the said surface of the container. A heat-emitting plate is installed on the condensation surface of each heat pipe.
EFFECT: increase in the intensity of active heat removal from the lateral inner surface of the container in contact with the condensation zone of the steam generator in the thermal emission converter reactor of a space nuclear power plant.
