FIELD: solar technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of solar technology, namely to low-temperature solar collectors; it can be used in systems for heating and air conditioning in rooms. The solar collector contains a closed shell consisting of a central surface, side surfaces mated with it, entirely filled from the inside with a metal sponge. The central surface has a rectangular shape, sidewalls are made of light metal with heat insulation, pipes for supply and removal of a liquid or gaseous heat carrier are installed on sidewalls, and the sponge, which fills the collector, is made in the form of thin chips of aluminum, copper, or bimetal.
EFFECT: solar collector differs with a simple structure, economy, has a higher capacity of sun ray absorption in a metal sponge consisting of thin metal chips, provides a possibility of using both liquid and gaseous heat carrier, reduces energy costs and material consumption.
