FIELD: sorting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to intelligent systems for robotic sorting of MSW. The invention can be used in power engineering, chemical industry, metallurgy, municipal services, ecology. The stated problem is solved by a method providing a possibility of developing, based on the accumulated statistics, the most beneficial strategy for skipping and selecting objects in conditions when the amount of objects supplied by the conveyor exceeds the amount of objects capable of being processed by the robot.
EFFECT: increase in the productivity of systems for robotic sorting of MSW in cases when the volume of the incoming flow of sorted objects exceeds the maximum productivity of the sorter robot due to the reduction in the average time spent on sorting one object, and the increase in the amount of sorted objects per unit of time, respectively, as well as the reduction in the amount of "skips".
