FIELD: fire-resistant materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire-resistant materials. A method for producing a fire-resistant polymer composition based on polydicyclopentadiene includes dissolving phenolic and phosphite antioxidants in dicyclopentadiene. Chlorinated polyvinyl chloride, previously dissolved in acetone or in an aromatic solvent, is added to the resulting mixture with stirring, after which the solvent is removed by heating in a vacuum. Then add polyvinyl chloride, antimony trioxide and a second-generation Grubbs polymerization catalyst. The resulting mixture is poured into a preheated metal mold and kept in it at 180°C for 2 hours.
EFFECT: improving the fire resistance of the material.
