FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for extracting electropositive metals from acidic solutions and can be used to extract precious metals from processing solutions, in particular, from mother solutions of refining manufacture. In extraction of precious metals from acidic solutions, iron electrodes are used as a cementing material, wherein a commercial-frequency alternating current with a density of 100 to 1,500 A/m2 is passed through said electrodes.
EFFECT: possibility of increasing the content of precious metals in the product of cementation, reducing the consumption of iron, and simplifying the instrumentation of cementation.
