FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing equipment and can be used to determine the stress-strain state, namely, to determine the stage of development of deformation processes in rock samples. Samples are prepared, their physical and mechanical characteristics are determined, strain gauges along the perimeter of the central part of the samples and on their lateral surfaces are installed, the samples are loaded in compliance with the criteria of geometric similarity in accordance with the previously identified physical and mechanical characteristics of the material, and, based on the nature of the deformations of the samples, their harbingers of destruction are reviled. The physical and mechanical characteristics of the samples are determined by the modulus of elasticity, Poisson's ratio, critical load P*, the radius of the focal area, information about which is used as input data for mathematical modeling, by means of which the distribution of the components of self-balanced stresses on the lateral surface of the rock sample, the shape and the dimension of the near-focal region and the measurement interval are determined. Strain gauges on the samples are installed at a distance not exceeding the smallest linear dimension of the near-focal region, after which the samples are loaded and their harbingers of destruction are detected.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of determining the harbingers of destruction while reducing labor intensity.
