SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for oil production using heat and can be used in the development of oil deposits. The downhole heater consists of outer (5) and inner tubes (3) coaxially located relative to each other. In this case, the outer wall of the inner tube (3) and the inner wall of the outer tube (5) form an annular working cavity (4), and at least one fuel element is located in the inner space of the inner tube (3). In this case, the specified internal space is filled with lead (2) and closed from the sides with covers (6). The fuel element is made or contains, as an energy source, radioactive material based on cobalt or europium isotopes.

EFFECT: reduction of energy costs for formation treatment.
