SUBSTANCE: invention is related to methods for extraction of hydrocarbons from underground reservoirs using heat. In the method for increasing the efficiency of oil extraction, an assembly containing at least one heater is placed in an injection well at the depth of the heated formation, and water is pumped through each heater of the assembly and the injection well. Each heater of the assembly contains a cylindrical body, at least one fuel element located inside the body, made of or containing radioactive material as an energy source, and a cavity through the length of the heater for the passage of pumped water. Europium oxide Eu2O3 is used as the radioactive material. Regulation of the operating modes of the heater or heaters of the assembly and the injection well is carried out by changing the weight flow rate of the pumped water, according to the dependence of the temperature difference on the number of heaters in the assembly.
EFFECT: increase in the amount of energy conducted to the oil-bearing formation and the temperature level of the water heated in this case.
