ESTIMATION OF ERRORS IN THE LOCAL ACTIVATION TIMES (LAT) MEASURED USING MULTIELECTRODE CATHETER Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/287 A61B18/00 G01F17/00

Abstract RU 2756366 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely, to a method and system for estimating errors in the local activation times. The system comprises an interface and a processor. The interface is configured to receive a set of observation data obtained by electrodes in the heart. In implementation of the method, a set of observation data is received by means of electrodes in the heart. Each observation data comprises a set of electrophysiological signals constituting signals of the local activation time, measured by the electrodes. The processor is used to estimate at least some observation data of the corresponding direction of arrival and the corresponding distance relative to the electrodes from which the set of EP signals originated. The calculated direction of arrival and distance are therein used, and a simulated set of relative times of arrival is calculated for each observation data. By applying a predetermined geometric test, the degree of similarity between the extracted set and the simulated set of relative times of arrival is determined for each observation data. The EP signal time marks are corrected so as to correspond to the estimated directions of arrival and distance and correct the error. EP maps of the heart are formed using the set of EP signals including the corrected EP signal.

EFFECT: estimation of the error in the local activation times is provided, making it possible to correct the local activation time marks on the map, thereby achieving a more accurate electrophysiological mapping of the heart.
