SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system and method for monitoring consumption. The technical result is achieved by the active ingredient adjustment system for an electronic vapour production system containing: a memory for storing data indicating the target amount of the active ingredient subject to being provided to the user via the EVPS for a set period of time with a set starting point; a payload use sensor configured to detect the amount of used payload; a use time processing unit configured to calculate the rate of supply of the active ingredient to the user based on the amount of used payload; and an adjustment processing unit configured to change the operation of the EVPS in order to reduce the rate of supply of the active ingredient to the user, when the processing unit is calculating the use time, the rate of supply of the active ingredient leading to the target value being exceeded for a set period of time, and also the technical result is achieved by an electronic vapour production system containing such an active ingredient adjustment system, by a mobile communication apparatus containing such an active ingredient adjustment system, by a method for adjusting such an active ingredient, and a by machine data carrier for such a system.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the active ingredient adjustment system.
