FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrodialyzer with improved performance and cooling, consisting of two pressure plates, input channels for supplying a separable solution (concentrate), a separable solution (diluate) and solutions for washing electrodes, output channels for removing concentrate, diluate and solutions for washing electrodes, packages of alternating membranes and spacer gaskets, twelve cooling tubes passing through holes in pressure plates, spacer gaskets, cation exchange and anion exchange membranes, eight of which are distributed along the end surface in a circle with a radius of 75 mm from the center of the pressure plates with a step of 45° relative to each other, and the centers of the remaining four tubes form an equilateral rhombus with diagonals 30 mm long, the intersection of which also lies in the center of the pressure plates. The electrodialyzer is characterized by the fact that it increases the number of ion-exchange membranes 17 and 25 and separation chambers per unit volume of the apparatus, by reducing the thickness of the two pressure plates 1 and 33 and the coaxial arrangement of the inlet 44, 45 and outlet 46, 47 fittings, which are integral elements of the electrodialyzer design, the wall thickness of the cooling tubes 8 is reduced, and spiral guides 57 are added inside them, providing both the required rigidity of the tubes and additional turbulence of the coolant, the tightness of the intermembrane channels is ensured by connecting twelve cooling tubes 8 with cation exchange membranes 17 through twelve holes 20 for cooling tubes 8 in each and with anion exchange membranes 25 through twelve holes 28 for cooling tubes 8 in each in the form of a tight connection.
EFFECT: increase in the useful area and productivity of the solution separation, high cooling capacity, simplicity of the device design and low mass of the workpiece for the manufacture of individual elements.
