SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural engineering and can be used in combine harvesters. The combine harvester contains an inclined chamber with a scraper conveyor and a threshing drum. A separating device is placed between the latter. The separating device is made in the form of a grid consisting of parallel longitudinal strips connected at the ends. Moreover, the cross-section of each strip is oriented in a position close to the vertical, and the cross-section of each of the lattice strips narrows downwards. A scraper conveyor is mounted above the grate.

EFFECT: invention provides a technical result consisting in increasing the efficiency of the separation process and increasing the intensity of separation of free grain from a combed grain pile due to the fact that the separating device is made in the form of a grid consisting of parallel longitudinal strips connected at the ends, the cross-section of each of which is oriented in a position close to the vertical, while a scraper conveyor is mounted above the grid, and the cross-section of each of the grid strips narrows downwards, this ensures a high speed of separation of free grain, excluding its crushing by the drum and reducing the energy intensity of the process, due to the space expanding downwards between the strips that make it up.
