FIELD: petroleum industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for processing soils polluted with petroleum products by burning in a slag melting furnace, followed by disposal of the resulting products or use thereof for production of other useful materials. The method for processing soils polluted with petroleum products includes preliminary dewatering thereof and subsequent thermal processing in a slag melting furnace. Metallurgical slag or coal power industry slag and ash are supplied into the furnace at a temperature of 1300 to 1500°C, and oxygen-enriched air and natural gas are introduced into the resulting melt together with the soil polluted with petroleum products, at a total combustion heat energy of the natural gas and petroleum products contained in the soil from 7000 to 8100 kJ/kg.
EFFECT: increasing the degree of ecological protection of the environment, expanding the technological capabilities by obtaining sustainable slag using production of building materials by known technologies.
