FIELD: reworking wastes. SUBSTANCE: method includes loading wastes in slag bath and subjecting them to heat treatment at a temperature of from 1300 to 1800 C with no access of air followed by separation of slag and molten metal. Primary cleaning, decontamination and cooling of waste gases are effected by passing them in counter-flow through lumpy material containing slag forming agents and oxides, in loading it to slag bath separately from wastes. Temperature of slag bath is maintained due to passing electric current through melted slag with the aid of submersible electrodes. EFFECT: reduction of oxidation processes at heat treatment of wastes in melted slag; reduction of toxic effluents into atmosphere; increased yield of metal alloy. 2 cl, 1 dwg
