SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for filtering motor fuel. A unit for filtering motor fuel contains a bowl-shaped case and a lid case, which, respectively, contain the first and the second annular protrusions located along the circumference, connected to each other by reciprocating movement, for example, using a bayonet or threaded system. The bowl-shaped case is equipped with a filter chamber. On the second annular protrusion of the lid case, at least one groove is made, directed inward and parallel to the main axis, bounded by edges of the groove having an axial elongation. A unit for filtering liquid contains filter cartridge (1), through the center of which the cartridge axis (X-X) passes, and contains filter material (2) made with the possibility of placing it in the filter chamber, end plate (3) located at the end of filter material (2), made with the possibility of connecting to the first annular protrusion and containing active blocking element (31), made with the possibility of fixing filter cartridge (1) in bowl-shaped case, while active blocking element (31) contains at least one locking tooth (310), made with the possibility of connecting with a snap to the bowl-shaped case during the insertion of filter cartridge (1) in the axial direction into the bowl-shaped case, at least one element for preventing rotation protruding in the radial direction from end plate (3), and it is made with the possibility of installing the second annular protrusion in the groove during its movement around the circumference on edges that prevent rotation of the filtration unit and the lid case relatively to each other.
