FIELD: railway track maintenance.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of maintenance of the superstructure of the railway track, in particular to methods for automatic adjustment of the position of the rail track. For correction, the position of the left and right rails is measured independently of each other. Determine the start and end points of the defect to be eliminated, taking into account the limiting value of individual defects and the maximum longitudinal extent. The start and end points are selected depending on the curve of an individual defect of the rail that lies farthest in the longitudinal direction. A reference height line for both rails is established. The tamping units are positioned exactly at the starting point of the individual defect. In this case, both rail threads are straightened at the same time. Along with the adjustment of the height, the direction of the rail track is corrected. Trim finishes at the end point.
EFFECT: stability of the rail track geometry is increased.
