SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to hernia surgery, and can be used in the surgical treatment of strangulated inguinal hernias. Trocars are placed. The restrained bowel loop is removed from the restraining ring into the abdominal cavity. The trocar is removed from the abdominal cavity and an intestinal laparoscopic clamp with a ratchet is passed through it. With the help of a laparoscopic clamp rack, the pulse oximeter is fixed in an open form and an entry into the abdominal cavity is performed with a trocar with a pulse oximeter fixed in it. A pulse oximeter is put on the strangulated bowel loop. The level of blood saturation of the strangulated organ with oxygen is determined, and when the blood is saturated with oxygen of 80% and above, the intestine is determined as viable.

EFFECT: method allows reducing the risk of removing a viable organ; reduce the risk of developing necrosis of the intestinal area that has been in a strangulated hernia in the early postoperative period and, as a result, reduce the risk of developing peritonitis in the postoperative period.
