SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, and can be used to close extensive defects of the anterior chest wall in order to stop and prevent the recurrence of the infectious process. To do this, a flap is formed from the greater omentum by isolating and crossing the gastroepiploic artery. The flap between the gastroepiploic artery and the large curvature of the stomach is mobilized. The flap is moved to the anterior chest wall in the anterior mediastinum. During the formation of the flap, the right gastroepiploic artery is isolated and crossed, followed by dissection of the greater omentum from right to left, after which mammary-gastroepiploic autovenous bypass surgery is performed between the right gastroepiploic and internal thoracic arteries. When dissecting the greater omentum, the right gastroepiploic artery is isolated and crossed along the large curvature of the stomach in such a way that the artery becomes part of the omentum flap.

EFFECT: method reduces the risk of rejection or necrosis of the flap of the greater omentum when closing extensive defects of the anterior chest wall by ensuring adequate blood supply to the distal parts of the displaced flap from the greater omentum.
