FIELD: fire extinguishing techniques.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to fire extinguishing and fire-explosion prevention techniques, namely to methods and devices for extinguishing large-scale emergency transport and industrial fires of classes A and B, and can be used in the energy, transport, gas production, gas processing and chemical industries. The method for fire and explosion prevention and fire extinguishing is characterized by the fact that hybrid water-air foam is supplied to the zone of fire and explosion prevention and fire, obtained as a result of turbulent mixing during the co-current movement of jets of low-frequency air-mechanical foam and medium-frequency air-mechanical foam, by means of a device manufactured with the possibility of receiving and feeding at least one jet of hybrid foam into the zone of fire and explosion prevention and fire, obtained as a result of turbulent mixing during the co-current motion of jets of low-multiplicity air-mechanical foam and medium-multiplicity air-mechanical foam.

EFFECT: efficiency of fire and explosion prevention and fire extinguishing is increased by increasing the range, uniformity and softer distribution of water-air foam over the fire area.
